AN ORDINANCE REPEALING, REVOKING, AND CANCELLING ORDINANCE
NUMBERS 302, 303, 304, 305, 306 and 307 OF THE CITY OF WEST
UNIVERSITY PLACE, WHICH EXTENDS THE' CITY ~MITS OF THE CITY
OF WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE, TEXAS, BY ANNEXING TO THE CITY
CERTAIN ADDITIONAL LAND AND TERRITORY; DESCRIBING THE LAND
AND TE~ITORY SO ANNEXED, AND PROVIDING WHEN THIS ORDINANCE
SHALL BECOME EFFECTIVE.
1JVHEREAS, Ordinances Numbers 302, 303, 304, 305, 306 and 307, enacted by
this City, have been involved in various suits and controversies with the resi-
dents of the City of Bellaire and the City of Southside Place, and it is the in-
tent' and- desire of all parties interested to terminate such controversies and
litigation.
NOW'", THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION 0JF THE OITY OF WEST
UNIVERSITY PLACE, TEXAS r
Section 1. That Ordinances Numbers 302, 303, 304, 305, '306 and 307, being
"Ordinances extending the city limits of the City of West University Place, Texas,
by annexing to the City certain additional land and territor.n describing the land
and territory so annexed, and providing when these Ordinances shall become effective",
enacted the 31st d~ of December, 1945, at 6:54 P.M.; 6:59 P.M.; 7:04 P.M.; 7:11 P.M.;
7:15 P.M.; and 7:20 P. M., be and the f3ame are hereby repealed, revoked and can- II
celled, and said Ordinances shall henceforth be void and of no force and effect. LJ
Section 2. The fact that said Ordinances Numbers 302, 303, 304, 305, [l.::-.:}
306 and 307 have been involved in controversies and litigation for an extended
period and it being necessary to immediate~ dispose of such controversies and
litigation, creates an emergency, and this 'rdinanee shall take effect immediately
upon its passage and be in full force and effect from its passage, and it is 50
enacted.
. PASSED, APPROVED and ENACTED this 6th dair of January, 1947.
