BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSI ON OF THE CITY OF WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE, TEXAS: SiCTIO:f?T I That the boundary limits of the City of West University Place, Texas, are hereby extended so as to embrace the following described area of land, including therein the City of Southside Place, Texas: ' Beginning at a point in the south line of University Boulevard at the northeast cor ner of the City of Souths ide Place, Texas, ~aid point also being further described as the northeast corner of Lot 53, Block l, of Southside Place Addition, Thence south along the east line of Southside Place, said line being a city limit line of the City of West University Place, and its prolongation, to the southeast corner of the City of Southside Place, which said southeast corner is al- so a point in the Pleasant W. Rose Survey and a corner on a City of Houston city limit line, Thence west along the south line of the city limits of the City of Southside Place, which south line is also a city limit line of the City of Houston, and is also further des- cribed as the nort~ line of the Pleasant W. Rose Survey to the southwest corner of Southside Place, Thence north along the city limit line of the City of South- side Place to a point on the north line of Bellaire Boule- vard, said north line of Bellaire Boulevard being also a city limit line of the City of West University Place, Thence east along the north line of Bellaire Boulevard to a corner, said corner being the southwest corner of Lot 1, Block 2 of Southside Place, and a common corner between the cities of West University Place and Southside Place, Thence north along the west city limit line of Southside Place, which city limit line is also a city limit line of the City of West University Place, to a point where the said line inter- sects wit~ the south line of UniverSity BOUlevard, ,]1' ! JI Ll I L30 Thence east along the south line of University Boulevard to the point, of beginning, The city limit lines of the City of West University Place referred to in the above and foregoing are the lines es- tablished and set forth in Section 2 of Article 1 of the Home Rule Charter of the City of West University Plade adopted in an elect~on held on December 17, 1940 A. D. The area bounded by the above and foregoing metes and bounds is marked nSection B" and outlined in green color on a map marked "Exhibit Aft and attached to Ordinance No. 300 passed and approved by the City Commission of the City of West University Place, ,Harris County, Texas at 6:43 o'clock P. M. on the 31st day of December, 1945 A.D., and the above and foregoing notes of metes and bounds are in- tended to circumscribe and include all the area, including the entire town or city of Southside Place, enclosed with- in the area outlined in green and marked "Section BIf on the map marked "Exhibit A" attached to Ordinance No. 300. Bw'crrTOl\T TT That the boundary limits of the City of West University Place, Texas, are here declared to be extended by the annexation to the City of the hereinabove described land and territory, which in- cludes the City 01' Souths ide Place, Texas. ~EC'fIOH III That on and after the passage and approval of this ordin- ance, the inhabitants of the territory and city or town hereby an- nexed shall be entitled to all of the rights and privileges of other citizens of the City of West University Place, Texas, and shall be bound by the acts, ordinances, resolutions and regulations of the said City of 1"lest University Place, Texas. S:q:CTION lY That upon the passage and approval of this ordinance, all physical property belonging to the city or town of Southside Place, Texas, herein annexed, shall be vested in the City of West University Place, Texas, and that all legal indebtedness of the City of South- side Place, Texas, is assumed by the City of West University Place, Texas, and the corporate existence of the city or town of SoutThside Place, Texas, shall legally terminate upon the passage and approval of this ordinance, and the legal indebtedness of the city or town of Southside Place, Texas, is assumed by the City of West University Place, Texas, and such legal indebtedness shall be paid by the City of West University Place, Texas, as it matures and accrues. il ---' n , I I ' I I 1'---, I I ~j IJ II o SECTION V 131 That this ordinance shall take effect and be in force on and after December 31, A.
