[] BE IT ORDAINED BY TEE CITY C01>JlMISSION OF THE CITy OF YiEST UNIVERSITY PLA CE, TEXAS: SECTION T , That the boundary limits of the City of West University Pl~ce, Texas, are hereby extended so as to,embrace the following described area of land, including therein the City ,of Bellaire, Texas: Beginning at a point where the west city limit line of the City of West University Place, Texas, intersects with the north property line of Richmond Road, Thence in a southwesterly direction across the right of I ' way of the Texas & N,c3w Orleans Railro'ad Company's Eureka- lJ Stella Cutoff line along the north' property line of Richmond Road to a point wher e the north property line of Richmond Road intersects with the west right of way line of the said T & NOR R Co.'s Eureka-Stella Cutoff line, Thence in a northerly direction along the west right of way line of the said T & NOR R Co.'s Eureka-Stella Cutoff line to a point where the said west right of way line of the T & NOR R Co.'s Eureka-Stella Cutoff line intersects with the south right of way line of the T & N 0 R R Co.'s old SA & A P line, Thence in a westerly direction along the south right of, way line of the T & NOR R Co.'s old SA & A'P line to the east property line of Avenue E, Thence in a southerly direction along the east property line of Avenue E and its southerly prolongation to the south line of Maple Street, , Thence in an easterly direction along the south property line of Maple Street to the west property line of Avenue D, IJ Thence in a southerly direction along the west property line of Avenue D to the south property line of Cypress Street, 1- ~ LJ ~ 127 Thence in an easterly direction along the south property line of Cypress Street to a point where the south property line of Cypress Street if produced in an easterly direc- tion would intersect the west right of' way line or the T & NOR R Co.'s Eureka-Stella Cutoff line. Thence in a northerly direction along the west right of way line of t~e T & NOR R CO.'s Eureka-Stella Cutoff line to the north property line of Bellaire Boulevard. Thence in an easterly direction along the north property line of Bellaire Boulevard to the city limit line of the City of West University Place, Texas, said line also being the east right of way line of the T & NOR R Co.'s Eureka- Stella Cutoff line, Thence in a northerly direction along the city limit line of the City of West University Place, Texas, said line also being the east right of way line of the T & NOR R CO.ts Eureka-Stella Cutoff line, to the'point of beginning. The city limit line of the City of West University Place, Texas, referred to in the above is the line established and set forth in Section 2 of Article 1 of the Home Rule Charter of the City of West University Place adopted in an election held on December 17, 1940, A. D. The area bounded by the above and foregoing metes and bounds is marked nSection A" and outlined in red color on a map labelled tfExhibit A" and attached hereto, and the above and foregoing notes of metes and bounds are intended to circumscribe and include all the area, including the entire town or city of Bellaire, enclosed within the area outlined in red and marked flSection A~ on the map flExhibit Aft attached and made a part hereof. S1l:CTIQN II That the _boundary limits of the City of West University Place, Texas, are here declared to be extended by the annexation to the City of the hereinabove described land and territory, which includes the city of Bellaire, Texas. SECTION III That on and after the passage and approval of this ordinance, and the inhabitants of the territory and city or town hereby annexed shall be entitled to all of the rights and privileges of other citi- zens of the City of West University Place, Texas, and shall be bound by the acts, ordinances, resolutions and regulations of the said City of West University Place, Texas. I 'I fI I' n~ u LI I L:28F SECTION IV That upon the passage and approval of this ordinance, all physical proper~y belonging to the city or town of Bellaire, Texas, herein annexed,' shall be vested in the City of West University Place, Texas, and all legal indebtedness of the city of Bellaire, Texas, is assumed by the City of West University Place, Texas, and the corporate existence of the city or tuwn of Bellaire, Texas, shall legally terminate upon the passage and approval of this ordi- nance, and the legal indebtedness of the city or town of Bellaire, Texas, is assumed by the City of West University Place, Texas, and such legal indebtedne ss shall be paid by the City of West University Place, Texas, as it matures and accrues. 8w,(VrTOl\T iT That this ordinance $hall take effect and be in force on and after December 31, A.
