OF PLAYGROUJ\1DS AJ\1D PARKS IN THE CITY OF TNEST UNIVERSITY PLACE,

BE IT ORDAINED BY TIm CITY Cmil1HSSION OF THE CITY OF
WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE, TEXAS:
SECTION I
That there is hereby created and established,a board with
.5 members as supervisors of playgroundS and parks in the City
of West Universi ty Place, Texas. Too t the members of said board
shall be elected by a majority vote of the City Commission and
shall serve without any salary for a period of two~yeaTs. That
upon the passage of this ordinance the members of said board may
be appointed immediately and serve the remainder of the year of
194.5 and the full year of 1946~ The board of supervisors of the
playgrounds and parks of the City of West University Place, Texas,
herein created, shall be independent of the control of any other
-I department of the city and shall be subject only to the supervision
and control of the City Commission of the City of West University
Place, Texas. '
SECTION II
It shall be the duty of the board of supervisors of play-
grounds and parks to investigate all parks, par,kways, esplanades
and playgrounds belonging to or under the control of the city and
such other public grounds as may be placed under the control of
the City Commission and to make recommendations to the City
Commission as to all needed improvement and maintenance of such
properties and to further recommend to the City Commission rules
and regulations for ~he orderly government and use of all such
parks, parkways, esplanades and playgrounds that should be pres-
cribed.
SECTION III
All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed insofar as such conflict exists only.
SECTION IV

This ordinance shall become effective on the .5 day of February
A.D., 194.5.
