ORDINANCE NO. 284
AN ORDINANCE CHANGING THE NAME OF CHILDRESS STREET TO COMMUNITY,'
DRIVE AND, PROVIDING THAT AFTER THE PASSAGE OF THIS ORDINANCE;
CHILDRESS STREET SHALL BE KNOWN AS COMMUNITY DRIVE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ,

In order to avoid confusion that now exists by reason of
Childress Streett bearing such name but being, in fact, a con-
tinuation of Community Drive north of Richmond Road and extend~
ing to the City ~imits of the City, the name of such street now
known as Childress Street shall be, and is hereby, changed from
"
Childress Street to Community Drive, so that such street, being
the first street east of the Southern Pacific Railway right-of-
wB,.y and the extr:eme westerly street lying within the City Li-
mits, shall be k.nown as Community Drive, both north of Richmond
Road and South of Richmond Road.
PASSED AND APPROVED this 9th day of October, A.D.,
1944, by a vote pf4 ayes and no noes.
