NOTICE OF ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT HEARING
~
The Zoning Board of Adjustment ("ZBA") of the City of West University Place, Texas ("City") will hold a
public hearing in the Council Chamber of the Municipal Building, 3800 University Boulevard, West
University Place, Texas 77005, during a meeting set to begin at 6:30 P.M. on Sentember 16, 2004. The
hearing may be recessed and continued to the ZBA meeting set to begin at 6:30 p.~v[. on October 21, 2004 at
the same place. The purpose of the hearing is to provide a special, additional opportunity for interested persons
to be heard in relation to the following matter:

AppliCant: Houston Independent School District
Action Requested: Applicant requests a Special Exception to allow existing school with
accessory uses and a new addition to existing school in a single
family residential district (SF-3). The accessory uses are day care,
park/playground and community center. Article 7, Section 7-101,

Applicant also requests the following variances:
• To reduce off street parlcing from 139 to 36 spaces. Article
10, Section 10-100.
• To allow parking in front of principle building with no
perimeter fencing. Artic1e10, Section 10-103
• To allow existing modular buildings to remain in street side
yard. Article 7, section 7-101, Table 7-2
• To allow the existing 6-foot high chain link fence to remain
at rear lot line (instead of 8' opaque fence). Article 8,

• To allow existing and new portable buildings in the front

• To allow existing community center building (Scout
House) to remain in rear yard and street side yard. Article

Applicable regulations include the City's Zoning Ordinance, Chapter 211 of the Texas Local
Government Code and the rules of the ZBA. Additional details on such matters, as well as, the
applicable regulations are available for public inspection in the Public Works Center, 3826
Amherst, West University Place, 77005. Any person interested in such matters should attend
the hearings.
