CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES
The City Council of the City of West University Place, Texas, met in a special meeting on Thursday ,
August 1 , 2019 , in the Municipal Building, 3800 University, West University Place .
Call to Order. Mayor Higley called the meeting to order at approximately 5:03 p .m . in the Municipal
Building Bill Watson Conference Room . Counci l and Staff in attendance were: Mayor Pro Tem Trautner,
Co uncilmembers Barnes, Lankford, and Sobash, City Secretary Gilliam, and Executive Assistant/Assistant
City Secretary Evelyn.
1. Interview A pplicants for the City’s Boards/Commissions
City Council interviewed applicants for the City’s Building and Standards Commission, the Zoning
Board of Adjustments, the Zoning and Planning Commission, the Recycling and Solid Waste
Reduction Board, the Parks Board and the Senior Services Board.
2. Adjourn
With no other business before the Council, Mayor Higley adjourned the meeting at approximately 9:20
p.m.
