RESOLUTION NO. 2019 -06
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WES
UNIVERSITY PLACE, TEXAS ("CITY "); ADOPTING A REPETITIVE LOS
AREA ANALYSIS ("RLAA ") OF THE CITY AND CONTAINING FINDING
AND PROVISIONS RELATING TO THE SUBJECT.
WHEREAS, the City seeks to reduce the risk of flooding and mitigate the
caused by flooding within its corporate boundaries; and
WHEREAS, the City contracted with a floodplain management consultant to
an RLAA, which will help the City implement improved floodplain management p
particularly in areas of the City that are historically proven to be more likely to flood;
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the RLAA performer
consultant provides the City with flood risk reduction and flood damage mitigation n-
that the City may implement as it deems feasible and in the best interest of its residf
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE I
WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE, TEXAS, THAT:
Section 1. The Repetitive Loss Area Analysis presented to the City
appended to this Resolution as Appendix "A" and incorporated herein, is hereby ads
the City, and the City will implement the measures found therein to the extent that
them feasible and in the best interest of its residents.
Section 2. All resolutions and parts of resolutions in conflict with this RE
are repealed to the extent of the conflict only.
Section 3. If any word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, section or o
of this Resolution or the application thereof to any person or circumstance, shall
held to be invalid or unconstitutional by any court of competent jurisdiction, ne
remainder of this Resolution, nor the application of such word, phrase, clause, s.
paragraph, section or other part of this Resolution to any other persons or circum

Section 4. The City Council officially finds, determines and declare,,
sufficient written notice of the date, hour, place and subject of each meeting at w
