The City Council convened in Special Session in the Municipal Building Conference
Room (3 800 University Blvd.) on June 5, 2000, with the following members present:
Mayor Lewis presiding, Council Members Ballanfant, Bertini, Grubb and May. The City
Manager, Assistant City Secretary, City Attorney, Police Chief and Fire Chief were also
present.
The notice for this meeting was posted in accordance with the Texas Government Code,
Chapter 551, on the 1 m day of June 2000 at 1:45 p.m.
Public Safety Salary Comparisons:
Matters related to a report on public safety salary comparisons.
The City Council discussed salary comparisons structures for police and fire employees.
Appointment to Charter Review Committee:
Matters related to the appointment of a Charter Review Committee.
The City Council discussed the list of persons who had expressed an interest in serving
on the Committee.
A motion was made by Council Member Grubb, seconded by Council Member Bertini, to
appoint the following members to the Charter Review Committee and ask that John
Neighbors serve as Chair.

A vote was taken on the motion with the following result:

A resolution will be prepared for the next regular session.
Adiournment.
With no further business to come before the City Council at this time, a motion was made
by Council Member Ballanfant, seconded by Council Member May, to adjourn.
