AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 111 OF THE CITY OF WEST UNIVERt
SITY PJ1ACE, TEXAS, COMMONLY KNOWN AND EESIGNATED AS THE "ZONING
ORDINANCE", BY AMENDING SECTION 4 THEREOF BY ADDING A NEW SUB-PARA-
GRAPH, TO BE KNOWN AS No.8, PERMITTING THE ERECTION AND COI\TSTRUCTION
OF A CHURCH IN A SPECIFIED PART OF THE FIRST SIIDLE-FAMILY DWELLING
DISTRICT AND PROVIDING THAT THIS ORDINANCE SHALL TAKE EFFECT AND BE
IN FORCE IMfl/IEDIA TELY FROM AND AFTER ITS PASSAGE AND APPROVAL.
WHEREAS, by motion of the Board of Commissioners of the City
of West University Place, Texas, adopted at a regular meeting of
said Board August 13, 194" it was determined upon recommendation __-
of the Planning Commission of the City to hold a public hearing with
reference to a~ending Ordinance lll, commonly known and designated
as the ttZoning Ordinance", and
WHEREAS, notice of sue!! hearing was duly published as required
by law and said Ordinance No. 111 and the date and !lour specified
therein was September 10, 194" at 8 o'clock P. M. at the City Hall
within the City of West University Place" Texas, and
vVHEREAS, said hearing was duly and seasonably held on the
date specified and the subject matter of this amendment discussed at
: length. '
_THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF
THE CITY OF WEST UNIVERSITY PDACE, TEXAS:
Section 1.
That Section 40f Ordinance No. 111 be amended by the in-
sertion therein of a new sub-paragraph to be known as "(8)" which
reads as follows:
, "Church, Church Buildings and appurtenances on Lot 2, Block
89, West University Place Second Addition, said lot being in the
First Single FamilY Dwelling District.u

All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
insofar as they conflict, are herewi th r~pealed.
Segtion 3
This ordinance shall take effect and be in force immediately
from and after its passage and approval.
