April 12,2018

1. Notices, Rules, Etc. Richard Wilson; Chairman, called the meeting to order at 6:15 pm,
and asked commission members to introduce themselves. Richard Wilson asked staff to
confirm that appropriate notices were given. Martye Kendrick, Legal Counsel stated
notices were posted per state and local laws.
2. Presentation of a Rezoning Request for Lots 1-4, Block 25 of Collegeview Section
One. There was discussion regarding the rezoning request by AT&T located at the corner
of Academy St. and Ruskin St. (parking lot behind the AT&T building)being Lots 1-4 of
Block25 of Collegeview Subdivision. The applicant's representative gave a presentation
explaining the nature of the request. AT&T owns Lots 1-6 of this block, which were
approved for and developed into a parking lot for use by AT&T employees and AT&T
trucks. Lots 1-4 are located in an SF3 district. Lots 5 and 6 are located in a PDD-SF2
district. The applicant is asking to rezone Lots 1-4 to the PDD-SF2 district. The applicant
has also requested clarifying wording changes that would allow incidental uses as
determined by a special exception granted by the ZBA. Approximately nine residents
spoke against the rezoning application. ZPC deferred action on this item and instructed
staff to bring back definitions of incidental uses.
3. Balconies and Front Porches. Item was deferred until the next meeting.
4. Minutes. The commission reviewed the minutes of the meeting held on January 11, 2018.
Richard Wilson made a motion to approve the meeting minutes. Second by Michael
McEnany. Motion carried.

Mimi Tsai made a motion to adjourn. Second by John Cutrer. Motion carried. Meeting
adjourned at 8:23 p.m.
