ZPC Meeting Agenda
Notice is hereby given of a regular meeting of the Zoning and Planning Commission, members of the
Building and Standards Commission and City Council of West University Place to be held on Thursday,
May 10, 2018 at 6:15 pm in the Municipal Building, 3800 University Boulevard, West University Place,
Texas,for the purpose of considering the following agenda items:
Call to Order
1. Notices, Rules, Etc. Matters relating to notices, introductions, rules, meeting procedures and
identifying parties.
Public comments must be kept to the subject before the Commission. The presiding officer shall rule on the
relevance of comments. Persons making irrelevant,personal, impertinent or slanderous remarks shall be .
barred by the presiding officer from further comment before the Commission during the meeting. Speakers
must limit their comments to three minutes each.
2. Rezoning Request for Lots 1-4, Block 25 of Collegeview Section One. Matters related to
rezoning the property at the corner of Ruskin Street and Academy from SF3 to PDD-SF2 (Single
Family 3 District to PPD Single Family 2 District) including a possible preliminary report to City
Council asking for a public hearing on the matter. Request includes language regarding incidental
uses in the PDD-SF2 District.
3. Outdoor Lighting. Matters related to outdoor lighting provisions in a side or rear yard.
4. Fence-like Hedges. Matters related to fence-like hedges in the front yard setback.
5. Townhomes. Matters related to townhome districts and their feasibility.
6. Balconies and Front Porches. Matters related to balconies, porches, front yard projections and
other related regulations.
7. Minutes. Matters regarding approval of minutes from April 12,2018.
8. Executive Session(if necessary).
The Commission reserves the right to at any time during the session convene in a closed session pursuant to
Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code,for reasons including but not limited to:
Section 551.071 (consultation with legal counsel to seek or receive legal advice or consultation regarding
pending or contemplated litigation);Section 551.087(deliberation regarding economic development).
Convene into Open Session. Take action,if any.

Building is wheel chair accessible from the west entrance and specially marked parking spaces are available in the
southwest parking area. Special seating will be provided in the Meeting Chambers.
