otice is hereby given that the Building & Standards Commission (BSC) will meet in Regular Session on:
Thursday, May 4, 2000
6:00 PM
Municipal Building
3800 University Boulevard
West University Place, Texas
The subjects of the meeting are as follows:
1. Call to Order. Report as to notice of meeting.
2. Citizens who wish to be heard. Citizens who wish to address items that are not on the
agenda will be permitted to speak to the BSC after introducing themselves and giving their
address. State law will not permit the BSC to fully discuss, debate or consider items that are
not on the agenda. Items that cannot be referred to the City Staff for action may be placed on
the agenda of a future BSC meeting.
3. Citizens who wish to address agenda items. Citizens who wish to address specific agenda
items will be permitted to speak to the BSC after introducing themselves and giving their
address.
4. Meeting Minutes. Matters relating to the approval of minutes from the April 6, 2000
meeting.
5. Proposed Amendment to Standard Code Schedule. Matters relating to a proposed
amendment to the Standard Code Schedule (which would regulate the noise level rating of
mechanical equipment) and other related sound abatement issues.
6. Noise Ordinance. Matters relating to the review and discussion of the City's Noise
Ordinance.
7. Construction & Property Maintenance Codes. Matters relating to the adoption of
construction and property maintenance codes.
8. Public Utilities. Matters relating to location of public utilities on private property.
9. Staff Comments. (Non Action Item)
10. Commission Member Comments. (Non Action Item)
11. Adjournment.
