Notice of Building & Standards Commission Meeting
Notice is hereby given that the Building & Standards Commission (BSC)will meet in Regular Session on:
Thursday, December 7, 2000
6:00 PM
Municipal Building
3800 University Boulevard
West University Place, Texas
The subjects of the meeting are as follows:
1. Call to Order. Report as to notice of meeting.
2. Citizens who wish to be heard. Citizens who wish to address items that are not on the
agenda will be permitted to speak to the BSC after introducing themselves and giving their
address. State law will not permit the BSC to fully discuss debate or consider items that are
not on the agenda. Items that cannot be referred to the City Staff for action may be placed on
the agenda of a future BSC meeting.
3. Citizens who wish to address agenda items. Citizens who wish to address specific agenda
items will be permitted to speak to the BSC after introducing themselves and giving their
address.
4. Meeting Minutes. Matters relating to the approval of minutes from the September 7, 2000
meeting.
5. Ordinance Amendment to Chapter 8 Electricity and Alarm Systems, Section 8.105, Use,
Connection prohibited without certificate. Matters relating to an Ordinance Amendment to
Chapter 8, Electricity and Alarm Systems, Section 8.105, Use, connection prohibited without
certificate, (c) Inspection with each change of occupant.
6. Amendment of Standard Code Schedule of the Standard Gas Code, 1994 Edition,
SBCCI. Matters relating to an amendment of the Standard Code Schedule of the Standard
Gas Code, 1994 Edition, Southern Building Code Congress International, Inc., that the gas
supply agency shall locate all gas meters on the Building site they are intended to service.
7. Amendment of Standard Code Schedule of the Standard Plumbing Code, 1994 Edition,
SBCCI. Matters relating to an amendment of the Standard Code Schedule of the Standard
Plumbing Code, 1994 Edition, Southern Building Code Congress International, Inc., that the
maximum size water meter to be installed for a lawn sprinkler system shall be 3/4 inch.

8. Amendment of Standard Code Schedule of the Standard Plumbing Code, 1994 Edition,
SBCCI. Matters relating to an amendment of the Standard Code Schedule of the Standard
Plumbing Code, 1994 Edition, Southern Building Code Congress International, Inc., that the
maximum size water meter that may be installed on a residential structure shall be 1 inch
unless a Registered Civil Engineer can demonstrate a clear and concise requirement for a
larger meter.
