Desi'nation of votin- memb James cDaniel stated per the alternate voting schedule that Darryl Friday, Muddy McDaniel, and Jorge Jimenez-Marcos are the voting members for the meeting. 5. NOES: None. Motion passed. Minutes approved. Muddy McDaniel motion to approve the January 3, 2002 minutes as written. Jorge Jimenez-Marcos seconded. AYES: James McDaniel, Darryl Friday, Jorge Jimenez-Marcos, Muddy McDaniel, and David Kehn. NOES: None. Motion passed. Minutes approved. 6. Swimming Pool Amendment. Dennis Mack, Chief Building Official read the staff recommendation memo in favor of forwarding the amendment to City Council as presented in the "Draft" amendment. Jorge Jimenez-Marcos made a motion to change the wording in (1): striking out the word "inside"and replace it with the word "outside." Darryl Friday seconded the motion. AYES: James McDaniel,Darryl Friday, Jorge Jimenez-Marcos,Muddy McDaniel,and David Kehn. NOES: None. Motion passed. David Kehn made a motion to add wording as a reference to (3) "in accordance with Section 6.405 and 6.564". Muddy McDaniel seconded the motion. AYES: James McDaniel, Darryl Friday,Jorge Jimenez-Marcos,Muddy McDaniel, and David Kehn. NOES: None. Motion passed. Muddy McDaniel made a motion to forward the Swimming Pool Amendment to City Council with the above revisions with a recommendation of approval by the Building and Standards Commission. Darryl Friday seconded the motion. AYES: James McDaniel,Darryl Friday,Jorge Jimenez-Marcos, Muddy McDaniel,and David Kehn. NOES: None. Motion passed. Building and Standards Commiss vlinutes • February 7,2002 Meeting 2 7. BSC Goals and Objectives. After discussion, it was the consensus of the BSC that this issue should not be re-visited. David Kehn made a motion that no amendments to standard codes schedule shall be brought before Building Standards Commission except for specific significant problems or recognized National Standards that bears on construction in this city. Darryl Friday seconded the motion. AYES: James McDaniel, Darryl Friday, Jorge Jimenez-Marcos, Muddy McDaniel, and David Kehn. NOES: None. Motion passed. 8. Liaison Reports. Darryl Friday stated that the Drainage subcommittee held a meeting on January 30, 2002. The subcommittee discussed several options of possible methods to consider, but are still looking at other issues and believe there are etlicr concerns other than new construction causing drainage problems. He stated he would update the Commission as things progress. 9. Staff Comments. Dennis Mack will be bringing a different proposal to adopt the International Energy Conservation Code. 10. Commission Member Comments. Darryl Friday stated that he was disturbed by the mud that is left in the streets after the water and sewer relocations are taking place. Dennis Mack stated that once the Code Enforcement officer starts that he will havc that persoli checking those sites. 11. Adjournment. David Kehn made a m to adjourn.
