HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes 2014-12 Appointing Bob Fry to HGAC Transportation Policy CouncilCity of West University Place Harris County, Texas RESOLUTION NUMBER 2014- 1 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE TO THE HOUSTON- GALVESTON AREA COUNCIL (HGAC) TRANSPORTATION POLICY COUNCIL REPRESENTING SMALL CITIES WHEREAS, The Transportation Policy Council (TPC) provides policy guidance and oveall coordination of the transportation planning activities within the region, and WHEREAS, The TPC consists of 28 members representing cities and counties, the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), the Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County (METRO) one at -targe member appointed by the H-GAC Board of Directors representing cities with a population greater than 50,000, and one voting member position for representation from the Gulf Coast Rail District; and WHEREAS, Mayor Bob Fry is mnently serving on the TPC for a term of one -year, ending December 31, 2014, as a representatve for small cities. BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE, TEXAS: Section 1. That Mayor Bob Fry be, and is hereby. designated as its representative to the Transportation Polity Council of the Houston - Galveston Area Council for the year 2015. Section 3. At resolutions and parts of resolutions in mother herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of the word only Section 4. If any word, phrase, clause, sentence. paragraph, section or other part of this resolution or the application thereof to any person or circumstance, shall over be held to be invalid or unconstitutional by any court of competent jurisdiction, the remainder of this resolution and me application of such wmd phase, clause, sentence, paragraph, seclion or other pad of this resolution to any other persons or circumstances shall not be affected thereby.
