CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL SESSION
MONDAY, AUGUST 7, 2000
MUNICIPAL BUILDING
3800 UNIVERSITY BLVD.
4:30 P.M.
The City Council convened in Special Session in the Municipal Building Conference Room
(3800 University Blvd.) on August 7, 2000, with the following members present: Mayor
Lewis presiding, Council Members Bertini, Grubb and May. The City Manager, City
Secretary and Public Works Director were also present.
The notice for this meeting was posted in accordance with the Texas Government Code,

Chapter 551, on the 4 day of August 2000 at 3:15 p.m.
The subject of the meeting was as follows:
Matters related to Ordinance No. 1650 relating to street areas and other public places and
proposed right-of-way (ROW) ordinance, including provisions for telecommunications
and other ROW users, existing franchises, wireless facilities and related issues.
Representatives from Southwestern Bill, Reliant Energy H L & P and Entex were present
at the meeting. They presented comments addressing issues they had with the newly
adopted Ordinance No. 1650.
The City Council agreed to readdress some of the issues presented. The City Attorney
was asked to work with the attorneys from Southwestern Bell on the issues.
Adjournment.
With no further business to come before the City Council at this time the meeting
adjourned at 5:55 p.m.
