The Corrnnissionconvened on the foregoing date in regular> session with
Mayor Schlesinger presiding, and Commissioner Plumb and Secretary Camp
in attendance.

The Secretary read a letter from Mr .L. R . Brayton, Dean of State Fire-
men's Training School at A~& M College, lau~ing the work of firemen
that represented the City of West University Place, namely, IvIr. J. C.
King, with a grade of 93, and C. C. Effil.liOnS, with a.grade of 94.
The Secretary also presented a certificate from Mr. C. F. Milledge,
C. P. A., certifying to the fact that he had checked the bookS. of
account and found that all receipts had been accounted for by the
Ci ty Treasurer. ~. .

It was given considerab~thought, and final.lY referred to street and
Bridge Commissioner Fl,4'b, to see if funds Ydll be provided for in our
budget for the ensueing year.
The Secretary presented vouchers #5243, 5244, End 5245 for ratification,
and upon illation bei:ilg made and seconded, were declared so.
Heverend Geo. E. Lee, of the VTest University Place Baptist Church ap-
peared 1Defore the cOl-mcil to call attention to the f2~Ct that the strip
of ground secured by the Church from the City had never been deeded i
to them.
The Secretary was instructed to look into the matd3er, and take necessary
steps to deed said property to the church.
There being no further business to come before the board, upon motion
being Ins-de and duly secoi1.ded, the meeting was declared adjourned.
