The Commission convened in regular session on the foregoing date with
Mayor H. B. Schlesinger presiding and Commissioners Plumb and Cockburn
and Secretary Camp in attendance.

Minutes of meeting held on January 22nd w~~ read by the Secretary, and
upon motion being made and duly.seconded ~ declared approved.
The ae~ion of the Tax Collector in refunding to Mr. J. D. Langdon $55_85,
which consti,tuted an overpayment in taxes was declared ratified.
The Secretary presented for approval a letter and blue" print of the re-
platting of Lot 12, BlocklB, West University Place First Addition.
Motion was made by Commissioner Plumb and duly seconded by Commissioner
, Cockburn that the Secretary be i~structed to notify the owner of this
approval of this re-platting.

'The Secretary presented 1930 tax receipt 0 East i of Lot 6, Block 7,-
Colonial Terrace Addition in the amount 0 U45, and'upon the report ,of
the Tax Collector that his payment shou:ltd h.l~e been only $4.95, ,the "
Secretary was instructed to refund the di~rencetto the payee, same
being the firm of Fantham & Fantham. ' .
A letter from the Houston Labrotories Company offering their ser~~es
in the purification of the Oity's water supply was referred to Ci~y ,_

A letter from Mr. W. R. D.; Moncure of the Houston Chamber of Commerce,~1 ','
lauding the work of the West University Place Volunteer' Fire Depart~~fr~t

recently, was presented to the council.
The Secretary was instructed to acknowledge Mr Moncure's' letter express-
ing the ,ppreciation of the council for letter.

Motion was made by Commissioner Plumb and duly seconded by Commissioner,
Cockburn that the secretary cause to be .drawn an ordinance placing the
Ju.dge of the Corporation Court on a monthly salary basis and providing,
for further' changes in the present system.
