Upon; motion made by Cormnissioner Cockbul"'n ,and duly seconded by COllMissioner Plumb, the action of' the Mayor was ratified, and the Secretary was instructed to make these payments as they come due. ( ) Mayor Schlesinger reported that he.had authorized the installation of a man hole in sewer serving the house on lot 6, block 24, Colonial Terrace Addition, which is owned by the Intermountain Building and Loan Associa- tion, and sought the ratification of the commiss~n on this action. ' t/ d The necessit:y' of' a police officer patrolling a.ll stop signs and being on duty at the school as same convenes in the morning and recesses in the afternoon was brought to the attention of the commission. Upon motion being made by Coramissioner Plumb and seconded by Commissioner Cockburn, police officer.I. W. McKeown was instructed to patrol these districts at the proper times. ' A petition was presented to the Commission from owners of .property front- ing on Lake Street asking for the improvement of said street and curb and gutter of that secti'on of said street between Rice Boulevard and Plumb Street. ' After due consideration, motion was made by C~mmissioner PlumQ and duly seconded by Commissioner Cockburn that the City Engineer be instructed to proceed with7~k, and payment of same would be done on the front foot as sessmen t~~~~;~/}~~btYbearing, one-fourth of c~st.
