The commission comvened in regular session with the Honorable H. B.
Schlesinger, Mayor, presiding and Commissioners Plumb and Cockb~n and
Secretary Camp in attendance.

Minutes of meeting September 11th read by the Secretary.
On motion of COlnmissioner Cockburn and duly secopded by Commissioner
Plumb, the minutes as read were approved.

Mr. h. G. Reinemann, liscened~and bonded plumber ~ppeared before the
council to give reasons why he. should not bear the expanse of unstopping
sewer in compliamce to letter over the signature of Assistant City
Engineer Irving 'peabody. " ..#'

After some discussion, it was declared that ."r.j,Reinemann not be made
to stand this expense, but in fhe futur~, all plumbers doing work
in the city are to take proper action up scovery of any such cir-
cumstances. ....'\J '
A card from the widow of our deceased citi'secretary, Mr. Erwin Cushman,
was read by the Secretary, and upon motion made by Commissioner Plumb,
and duly seconded by Commissioner Cockbu~n, the Secretary was instructed
to spread upon the minutes of this meeting and to file the card in our
permanent records.
The Mayor requested that his ~ote also be registered.
A bill from the Houston Typewriter .Exchange in the amount of $24.00, for
a typewriter now in the possession~ ,of Fire MaI'shall J. A. Metcalf, was
presented by the Secretary. ';~:
Motion was made by Commissioner 'Plumb and duly seconded by Commissioner
Cockburn tha this typewriter be purchased and pa~aents arranged by the'
Secretary.

Nos: None
A bill from the Southern Engine and Pump Co. in the amount of $1,530.00,
repre~nting the purchase and installing of pomona'pump for the new water
well, was presented for payment,
Motion was made by Commissioner Cockburn and duly seconded by Commissioner
Plumb that insofar as the terms of the purchase called for payment in
36 days, the Secretary be instructed to pay same.

rat,ified in the purchase of four new Seiberling tires for the Water
Department Truck.
Motion was made by Co~nissioner Cockburn and duly seconded by
Commissioner Plumb that said action by the Water Department Supt.
and Secretary be ratified.
Voting Aye: Cormnissioners Cockburn and Plumb.
NOS NONE.
There being no further business ot come before the Council, on
motion the meeting was declared adjourned.
