Commission called to order in regular session by Mayor
Schlesinger at 9 A.M. on the abovedate~ with Commissioners
P.R.Plumb and R.C.Cockburn and Assistant Secretary Camp in
attendance.
Protests from mee.ting on August 20$ 1931 of the Bo~rd of
Equalization read by the Mayor.

Motion made by Commissioner Cockburn and d~y seconded by
Commissioner Plumb that the Board of Equal;}:zation be sustained
in overruling protests en valuation of various lots for reason
that values have been found to be equ~lized.

Schlesinger and.acte~ upon favorably as follows:
WHEREAS, it has been the will of providence to take from active
life sap the circle ofoUl? civic activities$ Erwin Cushman,
honore~ citizen, loyal official, esteemed friend$ and
Whereas, his departing this life has left in our midst a vacant ~
chair $ filling our hearts with sorrow for the members of his
good :f'amily. .
Be it resolved by the City Commission of the City of West
Unive~sity Place,
That we express publicly in these minutes sincere regret that
our fellow official should thus be taken f'rom us; that we express
publicly in like manner the weel earned praise of all for his
invaluable contribution to the civic progress of this communitY$
that weextress publicly also ~~heartfelt sympathy to his
family:ror thed.rgreat _loss in this time of trial,
And be it further resolved
That these expressions be spread upon theof'f'icial minutes of'
