Commission called to o~der in regular session by Mayor Schles-
inger at 9 A.~. on the above date with Commissioners P .R.Plumb~
H.C.Cockburn and Assistant Secretary Camp in attendance.

Minutes of the previous ~eeting,August 14th were not read.
. ,The fallowing resolution was introduced and read by Mayor

PLACE ~ that we respectfully urge, tha t the~', l1onorable.: Railroad
Commission of Texas proceed as SOOB as practicable to institute
s~ch proceedings as may be necessary 1nthe exercise of thiir
original jurisdiction tofix~ establish and. determine proper
rate schedules and structures showmg fa'1r, reasonable and just
char,ges to be made by gas utilities engaged in the business or
producing and transporting natural gas from the wells to ~ities
and towns for domestic consumption, iri order that, the duty that,
hasbeen imposed upon the governing body of this city ~o regulate .
the rates to be paid by its citizens for natural gas may b~

The Assistant Secret8.}:"ypresented to the council a letter oVf,3rthe
signa ture ef Robt. L.' -Bonfield in reference to the taxes 0:4 Lots
1_~,3,4$,5,6~"$8,9 and 10 Block 2$ Pemberton Addition$ wJ;lich is
owned by Earry Miller. It was ~equested that these taxes fOD the
year of 1928 be marked off the delinquent tax roll account of a
settlement having been made on the extension of' University Blvd.
project. The letter was ref'ered to City Engineer J.H.Rafferty.
Report of' Corporation Judge~ J.S.Broyles, was next sUbmitted for
approval covering the period up to August 20th$ 1931.,

Cockburn that the report be approved .as read. ,
