pany was a visitor at the meeting and upo itation from Mayor
Schlesinger he rose to advise, after hav. .ade a very interesting
- talk in connection with ,the affairs of ..Company, that he was pre-
sent primarily for the pv~pose of prese ~ng to the City of West
University Place a check in the sumo:f 705.65 as the share of our
. muhiv-ipality in the excess earnings of. his Company for the year 1930~
Mayor Schlesinger ac cepted the check from Ivlr.. Bertran in the name of

. WHEREAS, the Houston Lighting & Power Company has tender-
ed to the City of Wesji; University Place, a check in thesu~ of. Seven (~)
Hundred five and 65JIOO ($705.65) Dollars as the, share of said Mu-
nic.ipality in the excess earnings of said:Company for the year

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMIBSIONERS of the Ciyy
of West University Place, on this the 17th d~y of February .A. D.
1931, that said sum of Seven Hundred ,Five and 65/100 ($705.65)
Dollars be accepted as the proportionate share of said municipal-
ityin the excess~arnings of the said HOUSTON LIGHTING & POWER
COMPANY for the, ear .L930, and . .
