In response to a petition from citizens to adopt another name for Winchester Avenue (foI'raerly Rochester) suggesting that the name. of Westchester Avenue be approved; , Mayor Schlesinger advised that the names used in the original change waBe hurriedly se8lect~in order to inaugur~te the house to' house delivery by the Post Office authorities. Howe~er, thate:ny su~gestions from Gitizens for further changes co l~e considered and adopted by the'Commission in event there w ~ conflict with Houston Streets.' NOS NONE. c Commissioner Walling reported a bad' condition of the side.-walk on University Bdulevard Between Cambridge & Buffalo Speedway,and between Buffalo "Speedway and V~derbilt, due to~quick sand un- lying the sanitary sewer system at that point. . . Mayor Schlesinger instructed the Secretary to write a letter to City Engineer Rafferty at once advis:Lng him of the facts and ' asking that he investigate the condition and report back at 'the next meeting mf'thE?
