CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL SESSION
MONDAY, JUNE 13, 2005
MUNICIPAL BUILDING
3800 UNIVERSITY BLVD.
6:00 P.M.
The City Council convened in Special Session in the Municipal Building (3800 University
Blvd.) on June 13, 2005, with the following members present: Mayor Ballanfant presiding,
Council Members Segal, Fogler and Woods. The City Manager, City Secretary, City
Attorney, Assistant City Manager/Public Works Director, City Planner, Fire Chief and
Police Chief were also present. Council Member Farley was absent.
The notice for this meeting was posted in accordance with the Texas Government Code,

Chapter 551, on the 9 day of June 2005 at 4:00 p.m.
Invocation.
Father John Salem, Saint George Antiochian Orthodox Church, gave the invocation.
Comments by outgoing Council Members.
Council Member Fogler thanked the City Council and City Staff for their work over the
last two years. She commented that she was pleased that Phyllis Cohen was elected to
serve.
Administration of oath of office for new City Council Members.
The Oath of Office was administered to Mayor Ballanfant, Council Members Segal,

Woods, Cohen and Yehle by the Honorable Richard Edelman, Justice, 14 Court of
Appeals.
Benediction.
Roy Walter, Senior Rabbi, Congregation Emanu El, gave the benediction.
Social Reception
The Special Session ended at 6:30 p.m.
