Amy said the sand had been replaced and was very nice. • Leah was the Park Ambassador for Whitt Johnson Park, so a new Ambassador will be appointed. Tim said that a new playstructure has been chosen for the 2-5 playground area and hopefully the Friends Board will approve the funding. • Sona was not at the meeting, so there was no update for Huffington. • David didn't have an update for the Rec Center. Amy said her son has been coming almost daily and has really enjoyed it. VI. Staff Updates: Tim gave updates on the following: • YTD Operational Summaries- WUPRC & CPP. There will be a meeting on October 6c" to go over the budgets. CPR did well this summer. Trace is doing a great job in park operations. 2012 Friends Funding Requests will be presented to the Friends Board in October and will go before the Friends Board on October 10'h. • Future PB Agenda Items: 1. Review of the Proposed 2013 PARD Fee Schedule and staff recommendations. Increased fees and letting non-residents use facilities are options. 2. 2013 Budget Overview will November 7"'. It looks like the budget will be flat for 2013. It won't have a negative impact. Revenue projections also look the same. 3. Additional PB Sub-Committee has been started. Another possible sub-committee would be for park signs. VII. Citizens Comments: City Councilwoman Joan Johnson said Direct Energy has been very happy working with West University Place. The staff is working together on the budget. It looks like everything will be flat. It shouldn't cause a negative impact-services should remain the same. VIII. New Business: Tim went over updates to directory information. IX. Adjournment: The meeting was adjourned at 8:05. The next meeting is scheduled for October 3, 2012 @ 6:30 pm.
