our younger patrons.
➢ We re-stained the pool deck and added a "slip-resistant" surface.
➢ All of the aquatic play features have been refreshed and serviced - this will be an
annual preventative maintenance function.
➢ The Colonial Concessionaire, Edloe Street Cafe is ready for opening this

pool patrons.
WUPRC Ball Field Improvements:
City Council approved three (3) variances to the WUP building codes. This
will allow Tri-Sports to proceed with the following field improvements.
➢ Construction of two (2) youth ball fields, to include backstops, baseline fences,
fouls ball safety netting and dug-outs.
➢ Construction of a foul ball safety fence along the entire east side of the athletic
field area, specifically to protect the parking lot and the playground from foul and
long balls.
➢ These fields will not be equipped with permanent outfield fences, but rather have
portable fences set up only during the baseball seasons.
o This will allow the majority of the green-space to be open and
unobstructed for casual, non-structured use by the WUP general public
during the off-seasons.
➢ Tri-Sports will be constructing a total of four (4) batting cages sometime in
December of 2012. These structures will be located along the western property
line and will not impact use of the walking/jogging trail.

donation of $300 to Friends as well. Thank you to Shannon Huff and Patricia
Hammond for coordinating all of the guild activities for the 2011-2012 school
year. They did a great job.
Continuing to work on closing out PLB 2012. There are still some receivables,
but about to get it all wrapped up.
