A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE,
TEXAS RELEASING ASSESSMENT LIENS, IF ANY, FILED BY THE CITY PRIOR TO
JANUARY 1, 1985

WHEREAS, prior to January 1, 1985, the City Ot West University Place, Texas
(the "City") may have filed certain assessment liens to pay the costs of improvements to the

City's roads or Other facilities; and
WHEREAS, the City, after a review Of its records, believes that all such assessment
liens have been paid but may not have been properly released; and
WHEREAS, the City is periodically requested to release an assessment lien and the City
stall is required to expand time and resources researching the passible validity of such lien; and
WHEREAS, no valid liens have been found and the time and expense associated with
researching same exceeds the possible Income to be derived from any such lien; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it is in the best interest of the City to declare
released any assessment liens filed prior to January 1, 1985.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE, TEXAS THAT:
Section 1. The recitals set forth above are found to be true and correct.
Section 2. Any assessment lien filed by the City prior to January 1, 1985 is declared
released.
Section S. The City Manager or his designee is authorized to execute on behalf of the
City a release of lien for any assessment lien of the City filed Of record before January 1, 1985.
