ZPC Meeting Agenda
Notice is hereby given of a regular meeting of the Zoning and Planning Commission and members of the
Building and Standards Commission and City Council of West University Place to be held on Thursday, May
10, 2012 beginning at 6:00 P.M. in the Municipal Building, 3800 University Boulevard, West University Place, Texas,
for the purpose of considering the following agenda items. All agenda items are subject to action.
PUBLIC HEARING AND REGULAR MEETING (BEGINNING at 6:00 P.M. in the Bill Watson Conference Room)
Agenda items are as follows:
Call to Order
Notices, Rules, Etc. Matters relating to notices, introductions, rules, meeting procedures and identifying
parties.
1. Minutes. Matters relating to minutes from the April 12, 2012 meeting.
2. Docket No. 2012 -01, Property at 6348 and 6352 Buffalo Speedway (to become 6350 Buffalo Speedway),
West University Place, Texas 77005
a. Public hearing regarding the following matters: Request for Preliminary and Final Replat Approval of the
AALS Real Estate Addition, the south one -half of Lot 1, Block 21 and the north 50 feet of Lot 1, Block 21 and
the south 25 feet of Lot 2, Block 21, in order to make one building site.
b. Deliberation, decisions, other action, etc. regarding the preceding matters.
3. Definition of a Dwelling. Matters related to the definition of a dwelling; accessory quarters; residential use;
separate dwelling and possible proposals to amend these definitions.
4. Driveways. Matters relating to regulations regarding driveways; circular or semi - circular driveways; curb cuts,
maneuvering areas and possible proposals to amend these regulations.
5. Through Lots. Matters relating to regulations regarding through lots, fencing of said lots, Chapter 18 fencing
regulations and possible proposals to amend these regulations.
6. Executive Session (if necessary)
The Commission reserves the right to at any time during the session convene in a closed session pursuant to
Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code, for reasons including but not limited to: Section 551.071
(consultation with legal counsel to seek or receive legal advice or consultation regarding pending or
contemplated litigation); Section 551.087 (deliberation regarding economic development).

made to assist in your participation in the meeting. The Municipal Building is wheel chair accessible from the west entrance and specially marked
parking spaces are available in the southwest parking area. Special seating will be provided in the Council Chambers.
I certify that the attached notice and agenda of items to be considered by the West University Place Zoning
Planning Commission on May 10, 2012 was posted on the Municipal Building bulletin board on May 3, 2012
at 5:30 pm.
