ORDINANCE NO. 272
AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING ALL PERSONS OPERATING VEHICLES APPROACHING
THE INTERSECTION OF RICE BOULEVARD AND EDLOE STREET, EITHER FROM THE
WEST. OR FROM' THE EAST, ON RICE BOULEVARD FROM ENTERING THE INTER-
SECTION OF SAID RICE~BOULEVARD AND EDLOE STREET WITHOUT FRIST BRING-
ING SAID VEHICLE TO A COMPLETE STOP; PRESCRIBING A PENALTY FOR VIOLA-
TION OF THIS ORDINANCE; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES
IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND FIXING THE TIME OF THE EFFECTIVENESS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF WEST UNI-
VERSITY PLACE, TEXAS:
I
That from and after the effective date of this ordinance, it
shall be unlawful for any person driving or operating any vehicle
traveling either in a westerly direction or an easterly direction on
Rice Boulevard to cause or allow any such vehicle to enter the inter-
section of Rice Boulevard and Edloe street without first bringing
such vehicle to a full and complete stop immediately before c~us1ng or
allowing such vehicle to enter such intersection from either of said
directions.

Any persons or persons violating the provlslons of this ordi-
nance shall, upon conviction, be found guilty of a misdemeanor and shall
thereu~on be fined in any sum:,of money not less than Five Dollars
($,.OO) nor more than Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00).
III
All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are
repealed insofar as such conflicts exist only.
IV
This ordinance shall be effective from and after the publication
o~ its caption as required by the City charter.
