DATE OF ITS PASSAGE AND APPROVALi **************** It appearing to the City Commission that additional funds will be required immediately for the purpose of providing necessary funds for current expenses of the City; and It further appearing to the City Commission that a large amount of ad valorem taxes will be owing and due the City for the year of .1942, and that immediate use of a large part of such t axes may be obtained by granting a discount o~ such taxes is paid in advance and on or before December 3~ 1942; and .\0-" ~. .,i" ,-' It further appearing to the City Commission that it would be to the best interest of the City as well as of its citizens that such discount be allowed if paid on or before December 3, 1942, such discount to apply during the time and in the amount as herein- after set out. THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY TEE CITY. CON1NIISSI011 OF THE CITY OF WEST U1:"'IVERSITY PLACE, TEXAS: STr'CTIODT 1. That, on all ad valorem taxes, due the City of West University Place, Texas, for the year 1942, there shall be and there is hereby granted and allowed a discount of three (310) vercent on such taxes - if paid on or before October 3,1942; two-(21oJ percent discount on such ad valorem taxes if paid between the dates of October 3, 1942 to and including November 3, 1942; one (110) percent disoount on such ad valorem taxes if paid between the dates of NOvember 3, 1942 to and including December 3, 1942, and the Oity Treasurerahd the Tax Assessor and ~ollector are hereby authorized and directed to allow said discount and issue tax receipts for the amouht collected in the usual manner. Said discount to apply only when such ad valorem taxes for the year 1942 are paid in full. SECTIO~T 11.
