purchasers a 20% discount. There will be wine and food at the event as well
provided by Hungry's. This is a collection for the Wine Pull at PLB and we hope
to collect 200+ bottles. If you cannot attend, please consider a donation to the
wine pull.
Social Networking (presented by Katie Hill, Susie Boyce, not present)
This is an introductory presentation for facebook and I' sure there are questions
or suggestions. Please feel free to see me, Susie or Donna after the meeting or
simply send us an e-mail. As facebook continues to grow with more users and
more advanced features, we intend on presenting more information and tutorials
to the board.
Facebook is a (free) social and marketing tool that we must use in order to stay
relevant with our target audience.
Our facebook fan page highlights upcoming events, reports on past events and
showcases some of our fundraising efforts (which, at times includes publicly
thanking our sponsors). Our goal is to keep it fresh and fun-and full of photos
that entice others to want to get involved in what we are doing (whether by giving
their time and money or attending an event.)
Wanting to be good neighbors, we have put into place two guidelines regarding
photographs as well as sponsor announcements:
Regarding Photographs:
As photographs are a proven way to entice and encourage new user
participation, Friends will post photos pertaining (but not limited) to Friends
events, park activities and press releases. In the event that these photos contain
children, Friends will make every effort to contact a parent or guardian to obtain
permission before posting. If anyone asks for a photo of themselves (or of their
child) to be removed (regardless of previous permission to do so), Friends will
remove the requested photo as soon as possible.
Regarding Sponsor Announcements:
Friends will make every effort to publicly thank sponsors for donations. In the
event that a separate post is dedicated to a single sponsor, Friends will obtain
permission from the company (or persons) before posting. It is the Friends policy
to thank as often as possible, but to never directly endorse.
Items of note: a post or photograph is not put online without Donna's approval.
Fans of our site can post comments, but cannot post photos. They are,
however, able (and at times encouraged) to submit their photos to Donna
who may choose to post them.
