Steve Primrose outlined the proposal for a donor wall to be installed at the Recreation
Center. The intent is to recognize significant donors including long term supporters and
those who have given large amounts. The Friends Board subcommittee will review all of
the donation records and identify appropriate names for recognition. They will also
develop guidelines for future recognition and for ongoing updates to the recognition
displays. Friends has approved $15,000 for this project and is seeking the endorsement of
the Parks and Recreation Board.
Janine asked how does this project fit in with other plans such as pavers, a wall at Colonial
Park, and plans for recognition at Judson Park? Leah indicated that vehicles are needed to
recognize our donors, and that this approach should help to continue to attract new funds
and new donors. The Friends Board is seeking ways to generate non-event related (PLB,
F&F) related revenue.
