Saturday morning from 9 am - 12 pm in March to police the parties and party-goers. If
that doesn't work, we may need to look at a longer term solution which might involve some
sort of ordinance.
Janine asked for clarification on the limit on the number of people. Is it 15 total people or
15 kids and their caregivers?
Russ suggested that we publicize the new rules using the Leisure Guide, local press, sports
organizations and schools.
Teresa likes using lowest level of intervention at this point. She thinks it might improve
our chances of acquiring additional parkland if folks know that we are paying attention to
what goes on in the parks.
VII. 2000 Park Master Plan Update - Tim O'Connor
The state requires that the park master plan be updated every five years. He will request a
subcommittee to work with him and a landscape architecture firm on updating the existing
plan. Once the master plan has been updated, we can start looking at grant opportunities.
Russ mentioned that we updated the plan in 2005-06, but Tim thinks that plan didn't
include all of the required elements to qualify.
