this marketing effort into a holiday, I am open to other ideas as well.
Stork and E-Store - No Report
Development (Grants & Foundations) - Stephanie Roman, Susan Sample & Susie Garofolo (not present)
Currently investigating some grant opportunities and compiling information necessary to submit the applications.
Friends & Neighbors Guild - Adrienne Vanderbloemen (not present)
• Next meeting December sra at Julie Jackson's home, 4106 Rice Blvd..
o Signups for Guild membership continues.
o Promoted this meeting by utilizing the marquee and sending out press releases in addition to
the general invitation.
• Have not received very much feedback on the playgroups this time.
o Emailed those who expressed interest last year to see if there is still interest, and get a
volunteer leadership team together, but got almost no response. A few folks said they had
already made other plans for the fall.
• Spring meetings around the second week of February and second week of April.
• Will be working on the development some routine events (i.e. Christmas party) that is a reason for
some to join.
SUPPORT FUNCTIONS
Public Relations - Heather Chilivetis
• Productive meeting with Elizabeth Karkowsky who turned over relevant files.
• Media introduction - completed, rapport being established
• 2010-11 media plan - developed for anticipated events will be updated monthly based on new PR
opportunities
• Press releases written and ready to send:
o Dec. 1 Girl's Night Out for Wine Pull
o Dec. 7 new board members
• Upcoming media - January PLB, media advisories
• Media tracking report -will create one for each month for all board members with copies of all news that has
been published
Marketing - Katie Hill
Donna, Leah, Heather and I will be meeting on 12/9 to discuss future marketing opportunities, specifically ongoing
items like the pavers and stork sales. Marketing and public relations will work closely together.
Special Projects and Facebook - Susie Boyce (Not present)
Will schedule meeting with Heather Chilivetis and instigate a huge Face Book push PR wise. Plan is to post lots of
past PLB pies to hel entice people to attend.
Administrative and Master Calendar -Debora Connelly (Not present)
Please be sure to send Friends calendar events to Deborah.
