ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT
MINUTES FROM APRIL 25, 1991
SPECIAL SESSION
The Zoning Board of Adjustment meeting came to order at 7:30
P.M. with Chairman Charlie Lusk, Robert Heaton, Sterling
Minor, John Pickul, Joe Webb, Victor Hansen, and Teresa
Fogler present. Mr. Perry, Chief Building Official, and
Elizabeth Bethune, secretary, from the the city were
present. Notices were read and participants were sworn in.
The only case on the docket was #91-4, 3756 University,
H.I.S.D. John Cates, responsible for temporary buildings on
H.I.S.D. properties, and Mary Ashmore, Principal, were
present. Mr. Cates said that the school is in need of 1
more temporary building. ~
Mr. Perry gave the city's viewpoint: The school is located
in a single family area. Under the Zoning Ordinance, they
are allowed 1 main structure and 3 accessory buildings.
They have 7 accessory buildings at the present time and a
variance is needed to add an additional accessory building.
• John Pickul made motion to close the public portion of the
hearing. Joe Webb seconded and motion carried.
After a brief discussion, John Pickul made motion to allow
H.I.S.D. to add a temporary building, but it will have the
same time restrictions as required for the temporary
buildings that were previously added. Sterling Minor
seconded and motion carried.
John Pickul made motion to adjourn and Joe Webb seconded.
Motion carried and the meeting adjourned at 8:15 P.M.
