CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES
City Council of the City of West University Place, Texas, met in a special meeting on Monday,
October 11, 2010, in the Municipal Building, 3800 University Boulevard, West University Place, Texas
beginning at 3:00 p.m.
Council and staff in attendance: Mayor Kelly, Mayor Pro Tem Fry, Councilmembers Boehme, Segal
and Guffey, City Manager Ross, City Secretary Lenz, City Attorney Petrov, City Manager/Public Works
Director Peifer and Claunch and Miller representatives.
CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Kelly called the special workshop meeting to order at 3:05 p.m.
Agenda was as follows:
1. Bellaire Boulevard/College Street Project
Matters related to the Bellaire Boulevard/College Avenue Improvement Project and associated
drainage detention issues.
Mayor Pro Tern Fry moved to convene into Executive Session to seek advice of the city attorney in
accordance with Section 551.071 in Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code. Mayor Kelly
seconded the motion. MOTION PASSED.
Ayes: Kelly, Fry, Segal, Boehme, and Guffey
Noes: None
Absent: None
At approximately 4:45 p.m., Mayor Pro Tem Fry moved to close the Executive Session.
Councilmember Segal seconded the motion. MOTION PASSED.
Ayes: Kelly, Fry, Segal, Boehme, and Guffey
Noes: None
Absent: None
Council reconvened the open session and Mayor Pro Tern Fry moved to recess the special
meeting until the 6:30 p.m. public session. Councilmember Segal seconded the motion. MOTION
PASSED.
