WORK SHOP MINUTES
September 9, 2010
MEMBERS PRESENT: Steve Brown, DeDe DeStefano, Bob Higley and
Lauren Griffith
MEMBERS ABSENT: Sam Parikh, Bruce Frankel and Dick Yehle
COUNCIL: none
STAFF PRESENT: Debbie Scarcella, City Planner; Sallye Clark,
Planning Assistant; Alan Petrov and Jolie S. Lenz,
City Legal Counsel
Call to Order - With quorum present at 5:10 p.m., Steve Brown called the workshop to
order.
1. Procedures for Public Hearings. The ZPC asked Alan Petrov to discuss and answer
questions for future public hearings on proposals to amend the zoning regulations. Alan
explained that the hearing would still be a joint public hearing with members of the City
Council and ZPC.
Instead of each body closing the public hearing as we have done in the past, each body
will suspend and continue the public hearing at the next meeting and will state as such at
the conclusion of the public hearing. The ZPC will post the item on its agenda until such
time as the final report to City Council is ready for submittal. Before the ZPC votes on
the final report, they will close the public hearing and continue with the voting process.
Adjournment. Bob Higley made a motion to adjourn. DeDe DeStefano seconded.
Ayes: Steve Brown, DeDe DeStefano, Bob Higley and Lauren Griffith. Motion
passed. Workshop adjourned at 5:40 p.m.
