RESOLUTION NO. 2010-14
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST
UNIVERSITY PLACE, TEMPORARILY WAIVING THE APPLICATION
OF SECTION 10-10 OF THE WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE CITY CODE
WHEREAS, the City of West University Place, Texas (the "City") is hosting a
Donor Appreciation event at the West U Recreation Center on September 26, 2010
from 3'00 p.m. to A00 p.m.; and

WHEREAS, the event is being held to honor outgoing Friends of West University
Place Chair Joni Fichter; and
WHEREAS, peers and friends will gather to celebrate and toast Ms. Fichter for
her many accomplishments as Chair of the Friends of West University Place, as well as
to her many other services to the community; and
WHEREAS, Section 10-10 of the City Code prohibits alcoholic beverages at
municipal facilities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE, TEXAS
1. That the recitals set forth above are found to be true and correct.
2. The application of Section 10-10 of the City Code is hereby waived for
purposes of the hosting of the Donor Appreciation Event at the West U Recreation
Center on September 26, 2010 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
3. That the City Manager is authorized to take such action as may be
appropriate to implement this Resolution.
4. This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage and
