Tim explained the Park Ambassadors program for the new Board Members. It's an informal
mechanism for checking on conditions at the parks and getting feedback from park users.
Teresa suggested pairing a Parks Board member with Guild person in the future.
The Park Ambassadors will be:

Colonial
Charles and Janine
Huffin ton
Sona
Weir
Jeff and Kevin
Rec Center
John
Whitt Johnson
Kathleen and Mardi
Friends

Russ explained the function of the Land Acquisition sub-committee - to search out new
park properties within the boundaries specified in the 2006 bond election. Sona
volunteered to serve on the sub-committee, along with Kevin and Leah.
XI. New Business
Mardi suggested that Tim conduct a park tour for the new Board members.
XII. Adjournment: The meeting was adjourned at 8:30 pm.
The next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at 6:30 pm in the Bill Watson
Conference Room.
