Call to Order: The meeting was called to order at 6:35 pm by Chairman Russ Schulze. IV. Recreation Center - Elevations Jeff reviewed the "mass" decision from the last meeting and then showed three different elevations. He indicated that the roof would be a standing seam metal roof for all three options. Option 1: "Hill Country" - stone below, stucco above Option 2: Red brick with cast stone detailing and suspended shade elements above the pool. Option 3: "Lodge" - stone and stucco with windows on the upper part of the pool. Includes canopy shade as in option 2. Helen asked what type of roof would be most efficient. Jeff said that the roof color will be chosen based on overall efficiency, in keeping with our intent to obtain LEED certification. Robert asked if more windows would be more efficient. Jeff said that they will be building an energy model for the building and that he would like to do as much "daylight harvesting" as we can. Charles asked if we are setting a tone for the neighborhood. Jeff asked what life style we are trying to represent and indicated that the elevation choice was really about aesthetics. After discussion, the board agreed on Option 3 ("lodge") but asked for some modifications to make it have more of a "Hill Country" feel. V. Council Decision on Recreation Center Pool Russ reported that the Recreation Center pool configuration has been approved. The final decision was for depths ranging from 4 feet to 7.5 feet from south to north. The aquatics consultant will be getting the bid package out in the next two weeks. The foundation work is out for bid now. II. Citizens Comments Ramsay Elder repeated his previous comments about non resident park usage and moving L the basketball courts to the west side.
