CITY COUNCIL WORKSHOP SESSION
MONDAY, NOVEMBER 9,1998

6:45 P.M.
The City Council convened in Workshop Session iri the Community Building (6104
Auden) on November 9, 1998, with the following members present: Mayor Fogler
presiding, Council Members Neal, Sparkman and Starich. The City Manager, City
Secretary, City Attorney, Police Chief, and Finance Director were also present.
AGENDA REVIEW:
The City Council reviewed the regular meeting agenda and discussed items under
consideration with the Staff.
TRAFFIC ENFORCEMENT ISSUES:
The City Council discussed traffic enforcement issues.
Police Chief Gary Brye addressed issues concerning residents parking over sidewalks and
other traffic problems.
The City Council requested that warning tickets be issued to cars blocking sidewalks. A
notice should be put in City Currents about violations and the City will begin issuing
citations on January 1, 1999.
The City Council also requested that a Policy Statement for Municipal Courts be
developed.
The City Council recessed the Workshop Session to convene in Regular Session at 7:30
p.m. The Workshop Session reconvened at 8:42 p.m.
MATTERS RELATED TO THE PURCHASE. EXCHANGE. LEASE OR V A T ,TTE
OF REAL PROPERTY:
(1) House and two lots at Colonial Park known as 4120 Byron.
Closed Executive Session to be held under Section 551.072, Texas Government Code.
The City Council convened in Executive Session at 9:30 p.m.
The Executive Session closed at 9:52p.m. and reconvened in Workshop Session.

INQUIRIES. REQUESTS AND COMPLAINTS:
The City Council reviewed matters received from the public and referred them to the
appropriate department or agreed to place them on a future agenda for consideration or
action.
ADJOURNMENT:
With no further business to come before the City Council at this time, a motion was made
by Council Member Starich, seconded by Council Member Sparkman, to adjourn. The
Workshop Session adjourned at 10:12 p.m.
