CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL WORKSHOP MINUTES
City Council of the City of West University Place, Texas, met in a special workshop meeting
on Saturday, January 30, 2010, in the Municipal Building, 3800 University Boulevard, West
University Place, Texas beginning at 9:00 a.m.
Council and staff in attendance: Mayor Kelly, Mayor Pro Tern Fry, Councilmembers Boehme,
Segal and Guffey and City Secretary Thelma Lenz.
CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Kelly called the special workshop meeting to order at approximately 11:00 a.m.
Agenda items were as follows.
1. City Center Ad Hoc Committee Interviews
City Council will interview, discuss and possibly appoint candidates to the City Center Ad
Hoc Committee.
After interviewing and discussing the qualifications of applicants, Mayor Pro Tern Fry
moved to approve the appointments of Connie Clark, Mike McEnany, Joseph Priske,
Larkin Matthews, Lynn Nesbitt, and John Tsertos to the City Center Ad Hoc Committee.
Councilmember Boehme seconded the motion. MOTION PASSED.

Noes:

Absent:
None
After much discussion, Councilmember Segal moved to authorize Committee Chairman
Bruce Frankel to interview applicants wjho were not able to attend this meeting and to
make a recommendation to Council whether to interview additional applicants and to
possibly make additional appointments from all applicants interviewed. Councilmember
Boehme seconded the motion. MOTION PASSED.

With no further discussion, Mayor Pro Tern Fry moved to adjourn the Special Workshop
Session at 5:05 p.m. Councilmember Guffey seconded the motion. MOTION PASSED.
