Notice of Zoning Board of Adjustment Meeting
Notice is hereby given that the Zoning Board of Adjustment (ZBA) and Zoning and Planning
Commission of the City of West University Place, Texas will meet on:
May 21, 2009
Beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the Bill Watson Conference Room of the Municipal Building,

The subject(s) of the meeting are as follows:

1. Notices, Rules, Etc. Matters relating to notices, rules and meeting procedures,
identifying parties, swearing of witnesses, etc.
2. Docket No. 08-06, Property at 5308 Buffalo Speedway, West University Place,
Texas 77005 (Time Extension Request Only)
a. Time Extension Request regarding the following matters: Uses. Applicant
requests a time extension relating to Docket 08-06 (variance granted
10/16/2008). Time extension is requested to allow additional time to request a
permit.
b. Deliberation, decisions, other action, etc. regarding the preceding matters.
3. Docket No. 2009-04, regarding property at 4222 Oberlin, West University Place,
Texas 77005, (Special Exception)
a. Public hearing regarding the following matters: Applicant requests a special
exception to Article 7, Table 7-2: Yards (or setbacks), Appendix A of the Code of
Ordinances, to acquire PNC status for a side yard encroachment. The special
exception request is to allow an encroachment of 4.7 feet and 4.6 feet instead of
the required 5 feet.
b. Deliberation, decisions, other action, etc. regarding the preceding matters.
4. Docket No. 2009-05, regarding property at 4112 Judson, West University Place,
Texas 77005, (Variance)
a. Public hearing regarding the following matters: Applicant requests a variance
to Article 7, Table 7-4a: Garage Space, Appendix A of the Code of Ordinances, to
allow building a garage at the front yard line instead of the required 10 feet back
from the front yard line.
b. Deliberation, decisions, other action, etc. regarding the preceding matters.

5. Docket No. 2009-06, regarding property at 6648 Rutgers, West University Place,
Texas 77005, (Variance)
a. Public hearing regarding the following matters: Applicant requests a variance
to Article 7, Table 7-5a: Parking, Driveways, etc., Appendix A of the Code of
Ordinances, to allow a structure (sliding fence gate) taller than 2' and less than 8'
in a driveway visibility triangle.
b. Deliberation, decisions, other action, etc. regarding the preceding matters.
6. Meeting Minutes. Matters relating to the approval of minutes from the meeting held
on April 16, 2009.
