Notice of Building & Standards Commission Meeting
Notice is hereby given that the Building & Standards Commission (BSC) and members
of the City Council of the City of West University Place, Texas will hold a meeting on:
October 15, 2009
Beginning at 6:00 P.M.
In the Municipal Building, Council Chambers,
Located at 3800 University Blvd, West University Place, Texas 77005.
The subjects of the meeting are as follows:

1. Notices, Rules, Etc. Matters relating to notices, introductions, rules, meeting procedures and
identifying parties.
2. Meeting Minutes. Matters relating to discussion and approval of the meeting minutes of
September 3, 2009.
3. Docket Number 2009-03 regarding property at 5410 Kirby, West Universitv Place, Texas
77005 (Variance)
a. Public Hearing regarding request under Section 6-25 (D)(3) of the Code of Ordinances
for a variance requesting signage on existing awning facing Kirby.
b. Deliberation, decisions, other action, etc. regarding the preceding matter.
4. Docket Number 2009-04 regarding property at 4130 Marlowe, West Universitv Place, Texas
77005 (Variance)
a. Public Hearing regarding request under Chapter 19, Section 18-202(a)(1) of the Code of
Ordinances for a variance requesting to construct a six (6) foot high wrought iron fence
from the west front corner of the house to the front property line, along the front property
line west to the west property corner connecting to an existing wood fence that will
enclose a private green space.
b. Deliberation, decisions, other action, etc. regarding the preceding matter.
5. Basements and other subterranean structures including possible ordinance amendments, updates
and related matters.
6. Discussion of BSC Rules of Procedures

RAMP LOCATED AT THE WEST ENTRANCE TO THE MUNICIPAL BUILDING. SPECIALLY MARKED
PARKING SPACES AREA "ILABLE IN THE PARKING LOT ADJOINING UNIVERSITY BOULEVARD.
