Denis Powers, Dave Miller and Michael Talianchich MEMBERS ABSENT: David Flame, Dr. Peter Benjamin and Muddy McDaniel STAFF PRESENT: Chief Building Official Debbie Scarcella, Permit Technician Josie Orosco, James L. Dougherty and Craig Koehl. GUESTS PRESENT: Robert Riquelmy, Bob Fry, Marisue Tallichet and George Tallichet [Call to Order] Bryant Slimp called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. 1. Notices, Rules, Etc. Bryant Slimp welcomed the visitors and staff members to the meeting. Bryant Slimp asked the agenda items be tabled due to several members having church services they need to attend. Bryant Slimp stated he would let the speakers speak, but technically, the board was discussing code amendments. Next time they could be put on the May agenda if they desired so the item could be addressed. George Tallichet explained there were two crepe myrtles that were removed without a permit at 4123 Villanova. Mr. Tallichet would like for the board to consider a code amendment to the tree ordinance that either makes the monetary result of a willful violation of that code so punitive that the contractor would not commit the violation or have the board establish a procedure for a hearing when a contractor commits the violation. Dave Miller asked if Craig Koehl could provide information at the next regularly schedule meeting regarding the classes of trees. 2. Urban Forest Code Amendments. Dave Miller made a motion to suspend agenda item until the next regularly scheduled meeting. J. Denis Powers seconded the motion. AYES: Bryant Slimp, Brian Hoogendam, J. Denis Powers and Dave Miller. NOES: None. ABSTAIN: None. Motion passed. 3. Demolition Regulations Amendments. Dave Miller made a motion to suspend agenda item until the next regularly scheduled meeting. J. Denis Powers seconded the motion. AYES: Bryant Slimp, Brian Hoogendam, J. Denis Powers and Dave Miller. NOES: None. ABSTAIN: None. Motion passed. . 4. Storm Sewer Protection. Dave Miller made a motion to suspend agenda item until the next regularly scheduled meeting. J. Denis Powers seconded the motion.
