Notice of Building & Standards Commission Meeting
Notice is hereby given that the Building & Standards Commission (BSQ and members
of the City Council of the City of West University Place, Texas will hold a meeting on:
November 2, 2006
Beginning at 6:00 P.M.
In the Municipal Building, Bill Watson Conference Room,
Located at 3800 University Blvd, West University Place, Texas 77005.
The subjects of the meeting are as follows:
[Call to Order.]
1. Notices, Rules, Etc. Matters relating to notices, introductions, rules, meeting procedures
and identifying parties.
2. Docket No. 06-03, Request for reinstatement of suspended contractor registration (Yago
Custom Homes). (see Section 18-3 of the Code of Ordinances).
a. Presentations by contractor, city staff and others.
b. Deliberation, decisions, other action, etc. regarding the preceding matters.
3. Alternate Piping Materials. Matters relating to possible code amendments allowing the use of
XPA Plumb Better piping (PE-Al-PE) as an alternative to copper tubing (requested by Terry
Donahoe).
• 4. Flood Protection and Prevention Regulations. Matters relating to floodplains, floodplain
management regulations, FIRM's, base flood elevations, drainage, flooding, building heights,
etc., and including report(s) and recommendations to City Council.
5. Portable Buildings and Storage Units. Matters relating to portable buildings and storage units,
including possible code amendments.
6. Meeting Minutes. Matters relating to discussion and approval of the meeting minutes of October
5, 2006.

MEETING PLACE MENTIONED ABOVE IS ACCESSIBLE BY WHEEL CHAIRS BY USING THE SLOPED
RAMP LOCATED AT THE WEST ENTRANCE TO THE MUNICIPAL BUILDING. SPECIALLY 3L4RKED
PARKING SPACES AREA VAILABLE IN THE PARKING LOT ADJOINING UNIVERSITY BOULEVARD.
