® Recycled Paper Notice of Building & Standards Commission Meeting
Notice is hereby given that the Building & Standards Commission (BSC) and members
of the City Council of the City of West University Place, Texas will hold a meeting on:
March 1, 2007
Beginning at 6:00 P.M.
In the Municipal Building, Bill Watson Conference Room,
Located at 3800 University Blvd, West University Place, Texas 77005.
The subjects of the meeting are as follows:
[Call to Order.]
1. Notices, Rules, Etc. Matters relating to notices, introductions, rules, meeting procedures and
identifying parties.
2. Advisory Opinion Regarding Sign Display Area. Matters relating to a request by the
Building Official for an advisory opinion regarding the interpretation of the definition of sign
"display area" contained in Chapter 6 of the Code of Ordinances.
3. Flood Protection and Prevention Regulations. Matters relating to floodplains, floodplain
management regulations, FIRM's, base flood elevations, drainage, flooding, building heights,
etc., and including report(s) and recommendations to City Council.
4. Urban Forest Code Amendments. Matters relating to the urban forest, tree protection and
tree preservation, including possible code amendments.
5. Future Workshop Dates and Agendas. Discuss and possibly set dates and decide topics for
discussion for future commission workshops.
6. Meeting Minutes. Matters relating to discussion and approval of the meeting minutes of
February 1, 2007.

MEETING PLACE MENTIONED ABOVE IS ACCESSIBLE BY WHEEL CHAIRS BY USING THE SLOPED
RAMP LOCATED AT THE WEST ENTRANCE TO THE MUNICIPAL BUILDING. SPECIALLY MARKED
PARKING SPACES AREA VAILABLE IN THE PARKING LOT ADJOINING UNIVERSITY BOULEVARD.
