Notice of Building & Standards Commission Meeting
Notice is hereby given that the Building & Standards Commission (BSC) and members
of the City Council of the City of West University Place, Texas will hold a meeting on:
August 7, 2008
Beginning at 6:00 P.M.
In the Municipal Building, Bill Watson Conference Room,
Located at 3800 University Blvd, West University Place, Texas 77005.
The subjects of the meeting are as follows:
[Call to Order.]
1. Notices, Rules, Etc. Matters relating to announcements, notices, introductions, rules, meeting
procedures and identifying parties.
2. Meeting Minutes. Matters relating to discussion and approval of the meeting minutes of July 9,
2008.
3. Docket Number 08-02 regarding property at 4144 Coleridge Street, West University Place,
Texas.
a. Public Hearing regarding matters relating to a request by Judith and Larry McDowell to
• appeal the decision of the Code Enforcement Officer to require that a detached garage
located at 4144 Coleridge Street be repaired or demolished within 30 days. The applicant
is requesting a time extension to December 31, 2008.
b. Deliberation, decisions, other action, etc. regarding the preceding matter.
4. Urban Forest Code Amendments. Matters relating to the urban forest, tree protection and tree
preservation, including possible code amendments.
5. Excavations and Underground Structures. Matters relating to excavations and underground
structures and related issues.

RAMP LOCATED AT THE WEST ENTRANCE TO THE MUNICIPAL BUILDING. SPECL4LLY MARKED
PARKING SPACES ARE AVAILABLE IN THE PARKING LOT ADJOINING UNIVERSITYBOULEVARD.
